The Wendy House Pre-School has been running for over 20
years and is located in main hall at Radstock Community
Centre. The hall is spacious and air conditioned. There are toilet
facilities in the foyer and kitchen facilities for the
preparation of
the children's snacks and for supervised baking sessions. The community
centre is on the same grounds as Radstock Primary School and we have a
close working relationship with the Nursery Unit and School. The
headmistress Mrs. Derrick often visits the Wendy House and our children
are invited to school performances and events when they are age
appropriate. The Wendy House children often use the playing field and
playground at the School and the excellent facilities of the nursery
unit are sometimes available to us. Inside the hall we have play
equipment, craft and messy play equipment and many types of age
appropriate toys.
The Wendy House Pre-School is a wholly inclusive
pre-school. This means we advocate that ALL our children
are included in all events and activities regardless of
age and ability. We are fortunate in having designated
staff and committee members co-ordinating additional
needs and ensuring that the provision is appropriate for
these children's needs. These people are also available
to help parents/carers of any child with advice and
practical help should any developmental worries arise.
Anyone who would like to discuss any area of their
child's particular needs can talk to our team at any
time.
